Ive always wondered... who could of it been? I looked it up few years back, and from what ive seen it could be govianni (it was revealed during a pokemon play that his mother once dated him) but i seriously doubt it... and i doubt they ever will revel who his father is

I read somewhere that one of the writers said that ash's dad is on his own journey and may or may not be shown on the show depending on whether or not they need to put him to help ash develop.

Maybe,but the writers do what they want so the anime doesn't have to make sense kind of like how ash is still 10 in best wishes eventhough i remember them saying ash was 10 in episode 1 and somewhere close to him participating in indigo league one of the main characters mentioned that they had been travelling for a year.

Ash's father will eventually be Oak if he keeps leaving on these journeys...
