Chapter One: A Journey to Infinity
He woke up, sweating. He knew he shouldn't have covered his head with the quilt, but what the heck.
It never hurt to be afraid of the dark. It was a cold morning, he took a shower anyway. The sweat
came off easily.
Mom: Max! It's time for you to go!
Max: Go where-!
Max looked at his calendar with shock, today was the day he was supposed to go get his first
Pokemon from the professor.
Mom: Max?!?!?
Max: I'm coming, mom!
He went down stairs to see his favorite breakfast on the table. Pancakes, and sausage.
Not that it was a very healthy breakfast. His mom forced him a glass of milk.
Max gulped down the milk as quick as he could. He was awaiting this day so long... he never thought
it would happen. He stepped outside into a gale of wind. Professor Steven's lab was straight ahead to the left.
He stood outside the door for a minute or two, and finally opened the doors.
Steven: Ah, Max! I've been expecting you.
Suddenly, a boy about Max's age bursted through the doors yelling.
???: Where's my Pokemon!
Steven: Calm down David, you'll get your Pokemon.
David shrugged, and turned away.
So Max, you have a choice between three Pokemon here. Mudkip, a water type Pokemon.
Torchic, a fire type Pokemon, and Treecko, a grass type Pokemon.
Max: Well uhm..uh...not Torchic.
Steven: Go on...
Max: Well....
He looked between the two Pokemon left.
Max: I guess.. I'll choose.... Mudkip!
Steven: Take good care of it Steven, you made the right choice.
David: I CHOOSE TREECKO!!!
Steven: Ok, Steven, you can have Treecko.
David and Max began walking out the door, David stealing evil looks at Max.
Steven: HOLD ON THERE!!!
Both of the teenagers froze, and turned around.
You two, why don't you have a battle...
Another evil grin was given to Max.
David: Yeah, Max!...
Max: You're on!
And so, a battle begins. Mudkip with tackle, Treecko with pound.

Treecko lay on the floor beside David.
David: Hmmph... -walks away slowly-
Max finally went outside, wondering if he'd ever come back.
