You had to go into the team rocket hidden base.

For me I think the rival was retarted, and how long it toook to get pokeballs. Gyms were too easy.

I beat my old SS, but on HG I was only up to like 9 badges (just entered Kanto)

My SS? I left my DS at school with the case and all the games, got it back SS was gone. I left it in the gymnasium office
